Hints: 

1.  Colostomate memeber, who irrigates, applies small compact make-up puffs over stoma with skin prep (tacky) to muffle "noises." He believes that gas causes pouch to vibrate, causing the loud noise (sold at Costco).

2.  A caretaker applies Aloe Vera Gel to heal mom's irritated peristomal skin.  It doesn't interfere with wafer adhering.

3.  Urostomy member uses Coloplast's 4x4 Skin Barrier Protective Sheet (also made by others) to prevent leakage/longer usage.

4.  Urostomate, make ice in miniature ice trays.  Suck on them before bedtime, if thirsty, to decrease urine output.

5.  Protect your stoma from car's air bag by cushioning stoma with a pillow.
